On 24 May 2026, composer and conductor Ferrer Ferran experienced a day of exceptional artistic and personal significance in Formello (Rome, Italy), where he conducted the Orchestra di Fiati “Il Principale” Mº Fabrizio Nori as part of the 2nd Memorial held in the town.
One of the highlights of the concert was the world premiere of Gladiator Maximus, a new composition by Ferrer Ferran distinguished by its expressive power, epic character and striking symphonic dimension. Conducted by the composer himself, the work came vividly to life in a performance of great intensity and emotion, receiving an outstanding response from the audience.
The occasion took on even greater significance when the Municipality of Formello awarded Maestro Ferrer Ferran Honorary Citizenship of the city, in recognition of his extraordinary artistic achievements and the profound bond he has created with Formello through music. This highly significant distinction symbolises the close relationship between the Valencian composer and a city that has embraced his music with admiration and affection.
Ferrer Ferran was also appointed Honorary Conductor of the Orchestra di Fiati “Il Principale” Mº Fabrizio Nori, a distinction that further strengthens the close artistic and personal relationship established with the Italian ensemble.
