Durante el mes de agosto de 2026, el compositor y director Ferrer Ferran participó en el MUVIC, Curso de Perfeccionamiento Musical de Villacarrillo (Jaén), una iniciativa organizada por la Asociación Musical Cristóbal Marín que reúne a jóvenes músicos procedentes de diferentes puntos de la geografía española.
Ferrer Ferran fue invitado a dirigir el concierto final del curso, en el que participaron más de un centenar de músicos, unidos en una experiencia de aprendizaje, convivencia y práctica musical colectiva. El encuentro ofreció a los alumnos la oportunidad de compartir conocimientos, perfeccionar su interpretación y disfrutar de la música en un ambiente de compañerismo y entusiasmo.
El programa del concierto estuvo dedicado íntegramente a la música de Ferrer Ferran, incluyendo algunas de sus obras más representativas, entre ellas LET’S ROCK SYMPHONY y EL MORENICO, esta última con la participación de solistas, además de otras composiciones del catálogo del autor.
La dirección de este concierto supuso una oportunidad especialmente significativa para Ferrer Ferran, al poder trabajar con una gran formación integrada por jóvenes intérpretes y acercarles un repertorio concebido para explorar las posibilidades expresivas, técnicas y tímbricas de la banda sinfónica.
MUVIC plantea una formación que combina el perfeccionamiento instrumental con actividades colectivas, clases, masterclasses y experiencias de convivencia. Su propuesta busca que los alumnos no solo mejoren sus capacidades musicales, sino que también descubran el valor de compartir escenario, aprender de los demás y crecer a través de la música.
La participación de Ferrer Ferran en este proyecto reafirma su compromiso con la educación musical, la formación de jóvenes intérpretes y la difusión del repertorio original para banda. El concierto de clausura se convirtió así en el resultado de un trabajo compartido, en el que la ilusión y el esfuerzo de los alumnos encontraron su expresión final sobre el escenario de Villacarrillo.

Ferrer Ferran conducts the MUVIC 2026 closing concert in Villacarrillo
During August 2026, composer and conductor Ferrer Ferran took part in MUVIC, the Musical Development Course held in Villacarrillo (Jaén), an initiative organised by the Asociación Musical Cristóbal Marín, bringing together young musicians from different parts of Spain.
Ferrer Ferran was invited to conduct the course’s final concert, featuring more than one hundred musicians who came together through an experience of musical learning, fellowship and collective performance. The course offered participants the opportunity to develop their skills, share knowledge and enjoy music in an atmosphere of friendship and enthusiasm.
The concert programme was devoted entirely to Ferrer Ferran’s music, including some of his most representative works, such as LET’S ROCK SYMPHONY and EL MORENICO, the latter featuring soloists, alongside other compositions from the composer’s catalogue.
Conducting this concert was a particularly meaningful opportunity for Ferrer Ferran, allowing him to work with a large ensemble of young performers and introduce them to repertoire designed to explore the expressive, technical and timbral possibilities of the symphonic wind band.
MUVIC combines instrumental development with ensemble activities, classes, masterclasses and opportunities for fellowship. Its educational approach aims not only to strengthen the students’ musical abilities, but also to help them discover the importance of sharing the stage, learning from others and growing through music.
Ferrer Ferran’s participation in the project once again reflects his commitment to musical education, the development of young performers and the promotion of original wind band repertoire. The closing concert represented the culmination of a shared experience, in which the students’ enthusiasm and dedication found their final expression on stage in Villacarrillo.
