El Gato con Botas es un cuento popular europeo recopilado en el año 1500 por Giovanni Francesco Straparola en su novela Las noches agradables.
El reparto de la herencia de un sencillo molinero no dejó a su hijo Benjamín más que el gato del granero. Decepcionado, el hijo consideró comérselo para no morir de hambre, pero el gato resultó estar lleno de recursos, y le dijo: “No debéis afligiros, mi señor, no tenéis más que proporcionarme una bolsa y un par de botas para andar por entre los matorrales, y veréis que vuestra herencia no es tan pobre como pensáis”.
El gato de la historia quiere demostrar a su amo que la verdadera riqueza no estriba en la posesión de muchos bienes, sino en elevarse de nivel, en adoptar una actitud creativa para fecundar así las realidades de nuestro entorno. Le pide unas botas para andar, porque no se limita a actuar como podría esperarse de un gato, sino que va a “ir más lejos”, se va a abrir a la novedad, desplegando toda su inteligencia para favorecer a su amo, es decir, adopta una actitud creativa y, con ello, se eleva de nivel.
El gato no se limita a lo más inmediato, a lo útil .Tiene una visión de largo alcance y actúa previendo las consecuencias de sus actos.
Cuando en sus correrías se encuentra con el mal, en la figura del ogro, el gato lo vence, pero no con sus mismas armas, es decir, no descendiendo a su nivel y utilizando la fuerza, sino con astucia. Y finalmente consigue que su amo se instale definitivamente en lo más alto, el yerno del rey, enamora a la hermosa princesa y alcance así la felicidad.
Encargo de la “Società Filarmonica di Bussoleno”, Italia, para conmemorar el 200 Aniversario de su Fundación (1816 – 2016).

Esta composición se estrenó el día 30 de Diciembre de 2016, en el Auditorio “Pala Conti” de Bussoleno (Italia), por la “Società Filarmonica” de Bussoleno, (Italia), dirigiendo el autor.
Puss In Boots is a European folk tale written in the year 1500 by Giovanni Francesco Straparola inside of his novel Pleasant Nights.
The division of the inheritance of a simple miller gave to the son Benijamin only the mill’s cat. The disappointed son considered the idea to eat the cat not to die of hunger, but the cat turned out resourceful and told him: “Don’t be so disappointed, my lord, you should just get me a bag and a pair of boots to go through the woods and you’ll see that your heritage is not as bad as you think”.
The cat of the story wants to prove to his master that true wealth lies not in owning many goods, but in possessing the skills that allows to control the reality around us. It asks for a pair of boots to walk, because it is not limited to behave as you would expect from a cat, but to “go beyond”, to open up to new things, using all his intelligence to help his master, in other words using his creativity to evolve.
The cat’s actions are not limited to what seems useful immediately. It uses a long-term vision and its actions are decided considering the possible consequences.
When in his adventures he meets the evil, represented by the figure of the ogre, the cat wins, not with the same weapon of the ogre, the use of the force, but with its cunning. Finally, it reaches the social redemption of his master with a deception for the king, conquering the beautiful princess and achieving happiness.
Commissioned by the “Società Filarmonica” of Bussoleno, Italy to commemorate the bicentennial of the foundation (1816-2016).

This composition was performed in the premiere performance on 30 December 2016 in the “Auditorium Conti Pala” of Bussoleno (Italy) by the Società Filarmonica di Bussoleno, (Italy) directed by the Author
