Presentación del III Concurso Internacional de Composición “Emili Jiménez Bou” en Cullera
El pasado 1 de febrero de 2026, el compositor y director Ferrer Ferran hizo la presentación oficial del III Concurso Internacional de Composición “Emili Jiménez Bou”, una iniciativa impulsada por el Ateneo Musical de Cullera con el objetivo de fomentar la creación musical y apoyar a los compositores de todo el mundo.
El acto se celebró en un ambiente de gran emoción y sensibilidad artística, convirtiéndose en una auténtica celebración de la música y del talento creativo. Como parte de la jornada, la Banda Jove ofreció un concierto extraordinario en el que fueron interpretadas las obras galardonadas en la edición anterior del certamen, permitiendo al público disfrutar de composiciones que representan el presente y el futuro de la música para banda.

Presentation of the 3rd Emili Jiménez Bou International Composition Competition in Cullera
On 1 February 2026, composer and conductor Ferrer Ferran took part in the official presentation of the 3rd Emili Jiménez Bou International Composition Competition, an initiative organised by the Ateneo Musical de Cullera with the aim of encouraging musical creation and supporting composers from around the world.
The event took place in an atmosphere of great emotion and artistic sensitivity, becoming a true celebration of music and creative talent. As part of the occasion, the Jove Wind Band gave an outstanding concert featuring the prize-winning works from the previous edition of the competition, allowing the audience to experience compositions that represent both the present and the future of wind band music.
During the presentation, Ferrer Ferran emphasised the importance of initiatives such as the Emili Jiménez Bou International Composition Competition, which contribute to the enrichment of the wind band repertoire and provide an important platform for emerging composers.
