Music is an indispensable element in the
lives of human beings. In nature, wwe see the essence of this principle
reflected. Plato
imagined the cosmos as an alive animal' all parts are connected in harmony.
From this point of wiew, the universe forms a large pentagrama in wich all notes
flow together perfectly. This is demostrated by the sounds we hear every day.
The twittering of a canary, the crackling of
fire, the sparkle of a waterfall pattering and falling on stones, the rattle
of a snake that takes on a threatening attitude, or even the silence of the
desert are expressions of Euterpe (the muse of music). Why not let
youflautist shine with the major new solo work.
In Greek mythology, the Musas is the nine
archaic goddesses that incarnated the correct evocación of the myth,
inspired through the memorizadas and improvised songs and music and dances
traditional. With the Olympic pantheon, Apolo was designated its head like
Apolo Musageta.
Euterpe ("the very placentera one ", "The
one of pleasant genius" or "The one of good spirit") is the Musa of Music,
specially protective of the Art to touch the Flauta. Generally imagines it
crowned of flowers and taking between its hands Doble-Flauti'n. Its name
means regocijante, charmer.
In this concertino the author tries to
represent the Musa of Music, Euterpe, appearing all his enchantments.
This composition is dedicated to the memory
of Jesus Alcántara who was a great Bands lover . Was first released by the
flautista Raquel Alcántara day 24 of May of 2003 in a concert posthumous
tribute to its father Jesus, in the Flowery Audience of Paiporta (Valencia -
